Petrographs presents a collection of poems that draw on the spectacle of everyday life and the surprises that bring us wonder in the specter of the unexpected. They recognize the adventure that is in the ordinary; not to mourn what is not, but to celebrate what is; not to be content with sight, but to reach for vision. From the mystery of Stonehenge to the ethereal Multiverse, Ruth Rains captures the essence of emotion that brings her studies to life. The poetic flow of her words and the stunning art of Jana Mason spin a web of emotions that will draw all into her world. Retrospeculation After all of academe, dominions of delirium, degrees of wisdom, and the full spectrum of our collective will to find answers, solutions, systems, and to bind into obscurity of words the bold magnificence of ignorance, I marvel at the moonscapes of the mind.
