Not all beavers eat wood. Kit is a beaver and a picky eater. He will not cut, will not chew, will not gnaw nor swallow any type of wood. For his parents and older siblings, it's an unending challenge to get him to eat anything other than ferns. They give in. They bribe him with dessert. They sneak splinters of wood into his dish. They let him play with his food. They tell him he can't leave the table until his plate is clean. Sound familiar? Persnickety Kit is a cautionary tale for picky eaters and their parents. You know who you are and this book is for you. A portion from the sale of this book will be donated to Conservation Northwest, a Washington state nonprofit that protects, connects and restores wildlands and wildlife from the Washington Coast to the British Columbia Rockies.
