Often, I find myself waiting for permission. I was trained this way. At school, I had to ask for permission, to go to the bathroom. At home, I had to ask for permission to go outside. At work, I have to ask for permission to go on a vacation. My whole life, I've looked for permission to live my life. When in reality the only permission I need, is my own. I created this book as a journal, to give myself permission. I did this for 21 days, to create a map, showing how freeing it can be to give myself permission. Permission to live my life, on my terms, despite what is expected of me. Permission to take back my power. Permission to be in control of my life. Permission to make mistakes and learn from them. Permission to make myself the most important person in my life. Because if I don't have me, who does?
