There may be doubles in this little chapter. So begins a story of perception, heartfelt poems written and illustrated by the gifted and versatile Kae Ling. There may be bubbles and chubbles of laughter. I didn't proofread these heartfelt rhymes. They were snatched from my pain of other places and other times. Forgive and read on, if you so wish. Judge not my pain, as things can switch. This is a tender story, touched with sadness, aglow with consolation and forgiveness. Kae Ling has created a moving parable for readers of a family grieving and trying to cope with the end of life, hospitals and hospice, that offers an affecting interpretation of the gift of giving and a serene acceptance of other's capacity to love in return.
