Experience the enchanted mountain kingdom of Nepal through the eyes of one of the early Peace Corps Volunteers, as he discovers the magic & mystery of Tibetan Buddhism, often trekking through the Himalayan Mountains wearing nothing but shorts, an old t-shirt, leather sandals, and only a small shoulder bag for food. He arrived as a young man right out of college who was sent to Nepal to teach agriculture to local villagers ... thinking he was there to save the world ... but soon finds out he must first find a way to save himself. He becomes interested in Buddhism and begins to study the sacred teachings, then travels to India with friends, and treks into the mountains where he meets an old Lama who agrees to be his teacher. He experiences one adventure after another in this epic novel you will never forget. Find out more about this wondrous part of the world as you also learn some the secrets found in the Tibetan Buddhist teachings that few have ever come to understand.
