Partners in Ministry is built upon the basic assumption that ministry is the fundamental vocation of all Christians and not simply clergy. Drawing on their extensive experience in leading the Partners in Ministry program, the authors provide direct, practical guidance on how the ministries of laity and clergy can complement and strengthen each other. The basic building block in their approach is the ministry team, in which one's status as clergy or laity does not matter, but one's sense of God's call and gifts for ministry does. Ministry is the fundamental vocation of all Christians, and not simply clergy. Roy and Jackie Trueblood help this truth become an integral practice in a church ministry partnership.
