Although often overlooked, toads and turtles make wonderful subjects. Their unique patterns and textures are amazing and can be challenging to interpret with your paints and brushes. With gouache, an opaque watercolor, every little detail can be recorded. To brush up on your skills painting with gouache, the first exercise in this 36 page workbook is practicing blending on a simple snail image.
