We have been authorized and empowered to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall be any means hurt us. It is our responsibility, and not God's, to pull down the strongholds that the enemy has set. This is why the Word says, Give no place to the devil (Eph. 4:27); Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (Jas 4:7); Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith (1 Pet. 5:8-9).
