WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT IN OUR PERSONALITIES
We are mostly either feelers, thinkers, or doers. Since your faith is the response of your personality to God, it is inevitable that your experience with God will be your own, unique and personal. You cannot help being yourself. To try to force yourself into another mold would be unnatural and artificial. Indeed, it would be to destroy your own individual faith and lose your relationship to God. So, the only true Christian is the honest Christian, the Christian who relates fully to God in his/her own way. In this book Dr. Cottle explores the three basic kinds of real and legitimate responses to God: the primary emotional response - the heart people, the primary intellectual response, the head people, and the primary volitional response - the hand people.
