It is time to rhyme Priya saw the world around her in a special way and told about it in her rhymes and drawings. They show her humor and her ability to overcome her handicaps through her creativity. Many of the rhymes in this book originate from Priya's recognition and delight in accidental rhymes plucked from normal conversation (pour me some more, for example). Once a rhyme was started, she loved to string together as many rhyming words as possible. Despite her fine-motor impairment, Priya was a prolific artist. Her exuberant drawings distill the narrative of each rhyme into simple shapes of symbolic quality. See what she could do with a simple line drawing of a stick! And sometimes the drawings themselves inspired rhymes, completing the interplay between art and poetry. The proceeds from this book will be donated to Abilities United, where she Priya got some of her inspirations. www.abilitiesunited.org
