Princess Polly's Gay Winter is a children's book written by Amy Brooks. The story follows Princess Polly, a young girl who lives in a castle and loves to play outside in the snow during winter. She spends her days building snowmen, ice skating, and sledding with her friends. However, one day, Polly's father, the king, becomes ill, and the doctors recommend that he goes to a warmer climate to recover. Polly is sad because she will have to leave her beloved winter wonderland. But with the help of her friends and some magical animals, Polly discovers that there are still plenty of fun things to do in the winter, even if she is not in the snow. The book is beautifully illustrated and is a heartwarming tale about friendship and finding joy in unexpected places.Sit down on this wall, and I'll tell you a story. I'll come over to your house some day this week, but now listen, while we sit here. It's a story I read yesterday, 'bout a house that had a secret closet, and ours has one, do you hear? She leaned forward and pointed her ringer, first at Polly, then at Rose. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
