The 7th book in the national award-winning Princess Cupcake Jones Series. Princess Cupcake Jones loves school, her classroom, and her routine. When a brand-new student joins her class, Cupcake notices that something doesn't feel quite the same. The new girl looks different, feels shy, and doesn't quite know where she fits in. When some classmates begin to whisper and tease, Cupcake realizes that kindness and courage are needed. With a princess-sized heart, Cupcake learns what it truly means to be a good friend. Together, the class discovers that standing up for others and celebrating differences can turn an uncomfortable moment into something wonderful. Follow Princess Cupcake Jones in this heartwarming addition to the national award-winning series by author Ylleya Fields. This story gently helps children explore empathy, inclusion, and friendship while encouraging them to always try and do the right thing. As an added bonus, children will enjoy searching for the hidden word in each inviting illustration. Author, Ylleya Fields, has four daughters and two sons. While looking for books to read to her eldest daughter (when she was 2), Ylleya was struck by the limited number of titles featuring African American characters. Blending her daughter's images and personalities together, Cupcake Jones was created. With the first published in 2013, this is the 7th book in the Princess Cupcake Jones Series that has won multiple Mom's Choice Awards, plus the Gelett Burgess Award, a Family Choice Award and an IndieReader Discovery Award.
