This Preliminary Circular Of Information offers a glimpse into the early days of the Drexel Institute of Technology. Though concise, it provides essential details regarding the institution's founding principles and its proposed educational offerings. It is a valuable resource for researchers, historians, and anyone interested in the evolution of technical education in America.
Founded to provide practical, hands-on training, Drexel distinguished itself by focusing on preparing students for direct entry into various trades and professions. This circular, with its initial overview of courses and faculty, serves as a primary document illustrating the aspirations and ambitions of one of America's pioneering technological institutes.
