The reason for this book is to share a covenant promise of God-vowing. You could be in trouble. You could be sick, on your deathbed, your marriage in trouble, or your children gone astray. Maybe you have gone astray yourself and don't know what to do. Maybe it's financial trouble, or satan is holding back your success. In times like these, you can make a vow to God to come out of that mess. You can also vow on behalf of others, but be led by the Holy Ghost. If you make a vow and do not fulfill it, there will be consequences. Throughout the Bible, God warns about making a vow and not paying it. So be mindful. Seek God, and then make your vow. I have made many vows myself. I say many because that means you have many chances.
