A spicy small-town romantic comedy where a broke new bartender falls for her off-limits co-worker, who's hiding an undercover assignment. Steamy workplace romance of forced proximity, fierce banter and double lives behind the bar.
She wanted a fling. She found a fire.
Madeline Everly isn't looking for a hero, just a hot distraction behind the bar. After a breakup, a misogynistic boss, and a bank account that's hanging on by a thread, slinging cocktails at Starkford's buzziest nightspot seems like a decent way to stay afloat. That is, if she can ignore the six-foot-four wall of muscle bartending beside her. Exel Kincaide is surly, tattooed, and deliciously off-limits... exactly Mads' type.
What she doesn't know? He's not who he says he is.
Exel's DEA mission depends on staying cold, focused, and totally off Madeline's radar. But the more she stirs him up, the harder it's to keep things strictly professional, or to protect her when secrets start to unravel. With the chemistry between them threatening to combust, Madeline and Exel have to decide: can love survive lies, danger, and the kind of sex that leaves scorch marks?
Pour Attitude is a steamy, laugh-out-loud romcom packed with fierce banter, undercover danger, and a heroine who refuses to play it safe.
Pour Attitude is book two in The Starkford Series, a romcom for fans of Tessa Bailey and Lucy Score.
Praise for Pour Attitude:
★★★★★ Mads and Exel are HOT! I've read and loved this series, but I like this one the best. Mads is a little wild, but you have to love her heart.
★★★★★ Made me laugh out loud so many times while also getting butterflies for Mads and Exel!
★★★★★ P.J. DeVere has done it again!
★★★★★ The story line had twists and turns I didn't expect, with an ending that exceeded my hopes... would give it more stars if I could!
★★★★★ A breath of fresh air in the genre!
★★★★★ Well written with great characters.
★★★★★ The characters have great banter and the plot has humor and unexpected twists.
★★★★★ I have read the whole series and loved them all but this one was my favorite. The book just kept getting better and better I couldn't put it down.
