When I published my first collection of poetry - Words, Art and Autism - a little more than a year ago, I wanted to show the world something I created that was a representation of who I am, how I think, the way I feel, and the way I view others and the world. In the months since then, I have dabbled more and more in poetry, including during a Writing Poetry college course I took in the Fall of 2014. I have taken this as an opportunity to write more about much of the same things I wrote about in my previous book of poetry, with the intention of publishing a follow-up to that book that is bigger and better, in terms of both the language and the imagery in the poetry, than the last book. The result is an eclectic selection of poetry, all of which have to do with me, how I view the world that I live in, and how I view the people that surround me. Whether it is a dark or silly piece, a piece about me or about those I know, a personal piece or one commenting on the world I live in, I hope people reading these enjoy them and, just maybe, are able to relate to them and connect to them on a personal level. That's why I write and publish poetry: so that hopefully someone out there can find relief and satisfaction in the art and poetry that they discover, just as I do every day. -Anthony J. Piccione
