Oraçao Gratulatoria, Recitada Na Solemne Acçao De Graças Que Pela Gloriosa Acclamaçao De Sua Magestade Fidelissima... is a historical oration delivered by José de Lima. This text provides insights into the political and religious climate of Portugal during the period of monarchical acclamation. The oration serves as a solemn act of thanksgiving, reflecting the socio-political dynamics intertwined with religious expressions of loyalty and gratitude toward the reigning monarch.
José de Lima's oration offers a valuable primary source for understanding the intricate relationships between the monarchy, the Catholic Church, and the Portuguese populace, making it an important resource for historians and scholars interested in European history and religious studies.
