This book is a true story, told at the request of 3 beautiful grand-daughters who asked about family heritage, and asked to hear about their great, great grandfather. The young glitter girls seem to perpetually ask Grandmom (and others!) to Tell me a story, Grandma! Make it a strong story. So, Grandmom did. We all have stories through our generations. Scary stories, funny stories, happy sad and mad stories, brave and strong stories. This children's book was originally written to entertain grandchildren with family memories and concepts of resilience. In the beginning, there was no plan to publish it, but the true story of a special Pop Pop seemed to influence the young minds of 3 little girls in positive ways, so the story and concept was transferred to paper. Pop Pop faced many obstacles in life, including a disability, some bullying, and many other challenges. But, he found the light and overcame his struggles and found joy. Our own life stories can lead us on many paths. With determination and faith in God, we can find resilience, hope, and humor to keep us strong in the face of adversity. We can also find peace. On the last page, children (or anyone else) can draw or write their own true strong story. Pop Pop's story still lives! There might be more stories to come!!.........................................
