Pomegranate is a book written by Anita Petrucci that tells the story of a young girl named Laila who is forced to leave her home in Syria and flee to a refugee camp in Jordan. The book explores the challenges that Laila faces as a refugee, including the loss of her family, the difficulty of adjusting to life in a new country, and the trauma she experiences as a result of the war in Syria.Throughout the book, Laila struggles to come to terms with her new reality and find a sense of belonging in the refugee camp. She forms close relationships with other refugees, including a young boy named Samir, who becomes like a brother to her. Together, they navigate the challenges of life in the camp, including the lack of food and resources, the threat of violence, and the constant uncertainty of their future.Despite the hardships she faces, Laila remains determined to build a new life for herself and her family. She becomes involved in the camp's community, volunteering to help other refugees and working to improve the conditions in the camp. Along the way, she discovers the power of hope and resilience, and learns that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light to be found.Pomegranate is a powerful and moving story that sheds light on the experiences of refugees and the struggles they face as they try to rebuild their lives. It is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the resilience of those who have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety and security. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
