I am a spiritual atheist, yet I know that our most successful image of Ultimate Reality was as God, one God. Religions are our evolution's means toward an awareness of the essential nature of reality, with different cultures creating differing religions. Modern science has begun acknowledging a fundamental ground of reality, but the most unqualified assertion of reality as Absolute Oneness was made in the fifth century BCE, during the Presocratic Birth of Philosophy.
Reality is an evolving personal experience, made more accessible today as it is expressed through reason.
Our times are facing potential destruction as it continues to be dominated by egocentricity, religious and nationalistic. Our responsibility is to contact, objectify, and focus human spirituality, and thereby continue evolving by clarifying and intensifying our personal manifestation of the universal essence defining reality and each of us.
