A man remains locked in his small private dining room. He is alone except for the company of his two dogs. The young man is passed out cold, head down on a tiny dining room table because he is inebriated. The man is a rejected lover having been cast aside by his presumptive lover. He is unaware that the dogs are growling and fighting over the bones he threw to them earlier. They came from the remnants of half-eaten food from his discarded silver dinner plate. But the sleeping man is not completely alone in his big house. The rest of the house is silent as a church until the servants begin to hear a persistent sound far from the dining room. Footsteps were heard descending the marble staircase, none too quietly. Someone is approaching the dining room, the individual's mindset with intent and purpose. Keys which he carries in his hand on a large silver rung jingled softly. This individual carries a small hand whip and a round of stout cord lashed to his black belt. Oddly enough, he wears black leather gloves on each hand. His name is Oliveri, and he is the groundskeeper for this estate.
