In the first volume of A Piece of Nese, Ms. Trinese Nese Robinson recounted her early years, which were often full of joy but sometimes fraught with danger. A common thread in Nese's life story is her struggle with chronic illness. She has been diagnosed with breast cancer four times and has undergone radiation treatment, chemotherapy, and surgery. But despite Nese's frequent battles with adversity, her optimistic spirit shines through in her anecdotes and poems.
