One picnic. Four friends. A little too much moving.
Milo the capybara has a plan: a soft blanket, neatly stacked sandwiches, and three sunny yellow yuzu fruits. Today will be a perfectly peaceful picnic.
Then his friends arrive.
Tess the turtle wants shade. Pip the duck wants paddling water. Bo the rabbit needs somewhere dry for cartwheels. Milo wants everyone to be happy, so he keeps packing up and moving until the sandwiches wobble, a snail joins the picnic, and Milo has had enough.
Can he tell his friends what he needs, too?
The Picnic That Wouldn't Sit Still is a warm, gently funny picture book for kids about caring for friends while making room for your own needs.
Meet a friendly capybara and three animal friends with very different ideas about the perfect picnic.
Enjoy playful read-aloud moments, a tumbling picnic, and a tiny snail worth spotting.
Start gentle conversations about listening, asking for a rest, and sharing the work.
With colorful storybook illustrations and a reassuring ending, Milo's adventure invites children and grown-ups to slow down and enjoy a story together.
Because a good picnic has room for everyone, including you.
