This paper presents an interdisciplinary proposal that integrates knowledge from chemistry and mathematics, contextualized within the petroleum industry, for high school education. The research comprises two complementary studies: the first investigates miscibility in ternary systems containing oil, surfactant, and polymer, as applied to Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR); the second explores applications of analytical geometry in reservoir modeling, directional well planning, and volume estimation. In the chemistry study, experiments were conducted using alkali-surfactant-polymer (ASP) formulations, which were subsequently adapted for the school setting using low-cost materials. In the Mathematics study, a teaching sequence based on real-world situations from the oil industry was developed. Applied to high school students, the approach utilized active methodologies, experimentation, and contextualized problem-solving. The results showed improvements in conceptual understanding, scientific reasoning, and modeling skills, promoting meaningful learning and the development of the competencies outlined in the BNCC.
