Pete has a new friend. He just happens to be blue, furry, and a monster!
After discovering that the Blue Monster hiding in his bedroom isn't scary at all, Pete is beginning to enjoy having a monster for a friend.
There's just one little problem.
Pete still isn't quite sure how he feels about sharing his bedroom with someone so different. So he comes up with the perfect solution: the Blue Monster can sleep in his older brother George's room instead!
But George likes to play his drums, and he plays them late into the night.
The Blue Monster tries to put up with all the banging and crashing, but eventually he's had enough. Looking for somewhere quiet to sleep, he knocks on Pete's door and asks if he can come back.
Pete soon realizes something important.
He missed his new friend.
Maybe having a Blue Monster sleeping under his bed isn't so strange after all.
Pete's Monster: My New Friend is the second book in the Pete's Monster series, a heartwarming collection of children's picture books about friendship, acceptance, courage, and learning that being different doesn't mean we can't belong.
With humor, imagination, and a gentle message about welcoming others, Pete's latest adventure shows young readers how an unexpected friendship can grow when we give someone a chance.
ABOUT THE FIRST BOOK
In Pete's Monster, Pete puts on his red superhero cape and races through the house on an imaginary adventure. But when he charges into his bedroom, he discovers something he never expected: a Blue Monster!
Startled by the creature, Pete strikes out at him, only to discover that the Blue Monster doesn't fight back. Pete soon realizes that he was frightened because the monster looked different. Once he gives the Blue Monster a chance, fear turns into understanding and an unlikely friendship begins.
Now, in Pete's Monster: My New Friend, Pete discovers that making a friend is only the beginning. Learning to trust, accept, and make room for someone new can be an adventure all its own.
Perfect for young readers who enjoy friendly monsters, imaginative adventures, bedtime stories, and books about kindness and friendship.
Sometimes the best friends are the ones we never expected to find.
