What if your life story were told by the one creature who witnessed everything - and never believed a word of your excuses?
Filippo has spent a lifetime travelling, falling in love, making mistakes, getting back on his feet, working, failing, starting again - and repeatedly finding himself in situations so questionable that even he sometimes struggles to explain them.
Fortunately, Birillo can.
Birillo is his dog. More precisely, his PMO: Methodical Perculator, but above all Objective.
From childhood to adulthood, from family to relationships, from work to sex, travel, friendship, loss and the magnificent absurdity of everyday life, Birillo observes the human species with the merciless clarity only a dog can afford.
The result is PERCULATION: part memoir, part satire, part confession - and occasionally an investigation into how Filippo has managed to survive himself.
But Perculation is not simply bad luck. Bad luck is far too ordinary. Perculation is what happens when reality takes a perfectly normal situation and transforms it into a story that, years later, makes everyone listening say:
Wait. That can't possibly have happened.
It did.
Because some people appear to attract chaos. Plans develop unexpected side effects. Coincidences accumulate. Relationships take improbable turns. Technology rebels. Carefully organised lives discover that the universe has apparently misplaced the original specifications.
Birillo has spent seventeen years collecting evidence.
