Pedagogics, A Monograph: A New Theory And Practice In Teaching is a book written by R. D. Allen and originally published in 1889. This book presents a new theory and practice in teaching, focusing on the importance of individualized instruction and the use of hands-on activities to engage students. Allen argues that traditional methods of teaching, such as lecture-based instruction and rote memorization, are not effective in promoting true learning and understanding. Instead, he advocates for a more interactive and student-centered approach, in which teachers work closely with their students to identify their individual needs and interests, and tailor their instruction accordingly. The book also includes practical advice for teachers on how to implement these new methods in the classroom, and provides examples of successful teaching strategies. Overall, Pedagogics, A Monograph is a pioneering work in the field of education, and remains relevant to educators today who are seeking new ways to engage and inspire their students. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
