The questions arising inside us should be: Who is this dog and what role does it play in religion? Why would God use the 10th and final plaque to say this to his servant Moses? What is this distinction God is referring to? After the sons of God rebelled and made war with Him, a third of the heavenly host were cast from heaven. Their transgression were to be contained inside a bubble of time. A bubble called earth. Their eternal status had to be broken into a period of reflection, they were to be confronted by limitation. This is the story of moral living becoming mortal living. When we transgress in morality we achieve mortality. The insertion of one letter into moral, a word with divine connotation of good, caused the corruption of life on earth. The insertion of TAV (the Hebrew equivalent of the T in English) destroyed the very reason Elohim created human beings for, to be in fellowship with the divine, the heavenly sparks of love. The TAV, known in Hebrew as the Seal of Truth and Death, embedded itself in full force into the lives of all creatures and fleshly beings on earth.

The antidote for the snakebite in the desert, its poison the cause of death, was to make an image of the snake and lift it up so we could gaze upon it and be healed and saved. Yeshua (Jesus Christ) represent that same letter when He was crucified. The Tav, the 22nd letter in the Hebrew alphabet, the symbol of the cross, upon which He was crucified and 'lifted up' to become that sin/poison which seeks to destroy us. That which we can gaze upon and be saved. There is no forgiveness without the shedding of blood, written in the Torah, sealed in a moment in time. Why did one man have to die to take away the penalty of sin? Why did God not send a warrior to destroy our enemies and set us free? Why do we regard the Messiah figure as the answer to a fallen world? The Internet comment which finally moved me to write this paper I found filed under Egyptian Artifacts / ancientegyptblog / June 21 2022. 'As we all know, Anubis is the Egyptian god of embalming and tombs/cemeteries. This means that Anubis was the main protector of the recently deceased.'
