The Passionate Years is a memoir written by Caresse Crosby, an American poet, publisher, and socialite. The book details her life and experiences during the 1920s and 1930s, a time of great cultural and social change in America.Crosby was at the center of the literary and artistic scene in Paris during the 1920s, where she mingled with the likes of Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and James Joyce. She was also a key figure in the development of the modernist movement, having founded the Black Sun Press, which published works by some of the most important writers of the time. The book is a vivid and engaging account of Crosby's life, from her childhood in New York to her travels in Europe and her experiences as a writer, publisher, and socialite. It is filled with anecdotes and insights into the lives of some of the most famous writers and artists of the time, as well as the social and cultural milieu in which they lived.Overall, The Passionate Years is a fascinating and insightful memoir that offers a unique perspective on one of the most exciting and dynamic periods in American cultural history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
