The aim of this study is to examine parents' feelings and perceptions regarding their child's speech or writing difficulties. Following a theoretical section covering areas such as the formation of bonds between children and their parents, upbringing and different types of emotions, we will move on to the practical part of the survey we conducted. Several people took part in our study, either through an interview or by completing a questionnaire. These participants are grouped into three categories: parents of children with articulation disorders, parents of children with dysphasia and parents of children with dyslexia. The ten topics covered are requests, questions and advice; perceptions regarding the definition of the disorder, its causes, hereditary factors and the future; as well as feelings of embarrassment, guilt and anxiety, and how these perceptions and feelings evolved during treatment. The analysis is followed by a discussion and a conclusion. This book may be of interest to anyone working with children and their families.
