Paralipomena: Remains of Gospels and Sayings of Christ is a book written by Bernhard Pick. The book is a collection of ancient texts that were not included in the canonical New Testament. These texts are referred to as paralipomena, which means things omitted in Greek. The book includes fragments of gospels and sayings of Christ that were discovered in various places, such as the Nag Hammadi Library in Egypt, the Oxyrhynchus Papyri in Egypt, and other ancient manuscripts. The texts provide a glimpse into the diversity of early Christian beliefs and practices. The book is divided into four sections: The Gospel of the Hebrews, The Gospel of the Nazarenes, The Gospel of the Ebionites, and Other Fragments. Each section includes an introduction that provides historical and literary context for the texts, as well as a translation and commentary. The book is an important resource for scholars and students of early Christianity, as well as anyone interested in the history of religion.1908. Partial Contents: Gospel According to the Hebrews; Gospels of: Ebionites, Egyptians, Thomas, Philip, Eve, Peter; Fayum Fragment; Coptic Gospel; Scattered Sayings; Apocalypse of Peter. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
