The Painter of Souls

Malcolm Greaves hasn't had steady work in years. So when he receives a call inviting him to appraise a newly uncovered collection in the estate of the late Jon Roscoe, he takes it without hesitation and brings his younger brother, Sam, along for the trip.
Hemlock is smaller than they expected. Stranger, too. Locals whisper about missing tourists, about things in the woods better left alone. Sam is intrigued. Malcolm only cares about the job.

But once inside the Roscoe estate, the brothers find more than forgotten art. Malcolm feels drawn, almost pulled, toward the unfinished works left behind, while Sam uncovers a trail of secrets the town seems desperate to hide.
As Malcolm sinks deeper into the estate's influence and Sam races to understand what's hunting Hemlock, the brothers are dragged toward a darkness far older than the paintings themselves.
