LONG, long time gone, a Mestizo Woman with a pair of huge earrings marched in with: I'M MAGDA! Magdalena Moen! The Woman intended to become a student: She and the tutor of the class stood as if transfixed, looking at each other - and that's how began an intriguing' Broken Shoes tale OUT OF A COLOURED BOX.

The broken shoes whisper a tale of two women: one on either side of a concrete wall, razor-sharp barbed wire running along the top. The story involves broken shoes, masks and negativity on both sides of the Them and Us divide, which is a result of race, skin colour, history and social-economic class.
