Ophiuchus is a collection of thirteen interconnected short stories that gradually merge and coalesce to form one, overarching narrative.
At first, the connections between them might seem small. Perhaps there was a name mentioned in a story that reappears in two, or an event remembered differently somewhere else, or a character mentioned briefly that alters the fate of the entire world. But as the stories continue, those tiny details start piling up until the stories start becoming inseparable.
The characters hardly know the whole picture. Some try to understand things that happened long before they were born, while others deal with consequences that they never saw coming. Mistakes happen, old conflicts resurface, and sometimes, the truth clouds things instead of clearing the mist.
There isn't a single story at the center of Ophiuchus. Ophiuchus is not thirteen individual stars, it's the entire constellation. At the end, you might want to reread the earlier stories to see how all the dominos aligned.
It's funny, it's sad, it's strange, it's Ophiuchus.
