This is Volume 23 of a collection of the works of Marcus Tullius Cicero. Presented in Latin.

Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC) was a Roman statesman, lawyer, scholar, philosopher, and academic skeptic. He is considered one of Rome's greatest orators and prose stylists.

Cicero introduced the Romans to the chief schools of Greek philosophy and created a Latin philosophical vocabulary, distinguishing himself as a translator and philosopher. Despite being a contemporary of Julius Caesar during the decline of the Roman Republic, Cicero was a strong advocate of republicanism and made the case for a return to constitutional government.
