In this revised and expanded edition of OPEN HANDS, Ernesto Tito Sanchez reflects on a lesson learned across years of pastoral ministry, military chaplaincy, cultural transitions, changing churches, and unexpected seasons of life: we are not called to control what God has entrusted to us. This expanded edition also looks toward the changing landscape of ministry: multicultural and multigenerational communities, Hispanic/Latino churches navigating changing neighborhoods, new forms of collaboration, and the opportunities and limits presented by technology and artificial intelligence.
But technology is not the answer. Leadership is not the answer. Even the church as an institution is not the answer.
Christ is the center.
