Only A Fiddler! And O. T. V2: Or Life In Denmark (1845) is a book written by the famous Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. The book is a collection of two stories, Only A Fiddler! and O. T., both set in Denmark.Only A Fiddler! is a story about a poor fiddler named Peter who dreams of making it big in the music world. He travels from town to town, playing his fiddle and hoping to be discovered. Along the way, he meets a variety of characters, including a wealthy merchant who offers him a job, a group of musicians who invite him to join their band, and a beautiful young woman who captures his heart. Through his experiences, Peter learns about the ups and downs of life as a musician and discovers what truly matters in life.O. T. is a more complex story that explores themes of love, jealousy, and social class. The main character, O. T., is a poor artist who falls in love with a wealthy woman named Elise. Despite their different backgrounds, they begin a passionate romance. However, their happiness is threatened by the jealousy of Elise's former suitor and the disapproval of her family. O. T. must navigate these obstacles and prove his worth to win Elise's hand in marriage.Overall, Only A Fiddler! And O. T. V2: Or Life In Denmark (1845) is a fascinating look at life in Denmark in the mid-19th century. Andersen's vivid descriptions and engaging characters make the stories come to life, and readers will be drawn into the world he creates. In Three Volumes. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
