This is the autobiography of a thoroughly undistinguished Norfolk Peer of the Realm in his late nineties; but the only Peer (ever) with a Cauliflower Ear and a price on his head. Admittedly the ear has been filleted and the price is a mere 5,000 - hardly worth the trouble and risk today. but there is no way to be sure if the interested parties have lost their interest. The author was involved in World War 2 and the United Nations campaign in Korea. So far as he knows he is the only officer ever to have commanded subunits of all three special forces, Airborne, SAS and Commandos, on active service. But rather more importantly he was a diplomat in the German Political Department in the Foreign Office in London in 1950, before anyone of working age today was even born, but when the EU was born as the Franco-German 'European Coal and Steel Community Treaty', which has been gradually transmogrified into the EU. Its public purpose was to ensure France and Germany did not go to war again. But all the secret minutes of the Franco-German negotiations in Paris were betrayed to MI6 by an anti-Nazi bureaucrat in the Quai d'Orsay horrified by its Nazi purpose. In 1950 both the French and German governments were still secretly Nazi and the Treaty had secret codicils to destroy Great Britain and reverse the outcome of World War 2 by establishing Hitler's post war Thousand Year [European] Fourth Reich. The plot was facilitated by the USA. We shall never know if they knew of the Franco-German Nazi plot, as we did not tell them, and anyway they had a Nazi plot of their own. In 1951 the USA released all the Nazi War Criminals imprisoned by the International Court at Nuremberg in 1949, and hijacked the tripartite 'International Study Group on Germany' (France, Britain and the USA) in the Foreign Office in London, convened to revise the Occupation Statutes for the allied Occupation Zones in Germany; and instead ordered all deNazification to cease immediately, and Nazi Germany (sic) to actually be rebuilt as quickly as possible, as a bulwark against Soviet Communism in the Cold War. It was the policy that Hess flew to Scotland to offer Churchill. But the British would not collaborate with Nazism. We had to collaborate with the USA after the war as they could collapse our economy and exchange rate. The author was Secretary General of the critical 1951 Study Group on Germany and took all the minutes of the six week negotiations, producing a hundred copies on gestetner machines every night, the first copy to the Prime Minister Clem Attlee in a red box about 9.30 pm, the rest next day to Foreign Office Departments and Embassies. (He was paid overtime. He was 26.) The day after the meeting ended he resigned, Nobody else did. A fortnight later Burgess and MacLean, who had seen his minutes, left for Moscow, and the author was interrogated by MI5 for two days as a possible Third Man. He is still on their books as a possible sleeper! He is the only surviving witness to history. He claims his life work is none of this, but on the contrary the three radical books he has since written on the latest science, Linguistics, tracing the development of meanings since we first spoke, from our first few syllables (phonemes) some 600,000 years ago. Oh and his 31st great aunt was the mother of William the Conqueror - in Falaise Castle on the wrong side of the blanket - which alters the history books.
