Once in starry Kaledaine is a poetic fantasy epic which tells the story of a war between magic and machines on the world of Kaledaine. Magister is the high lord of Kaledaine, by his stern hand is the chaos of the past held in check. When he is forced to journey into the cosmos he leaves his children Skylark Wren and Raven Dawn behind to guard Kaledaine in his absence. However with Magister gone old enemies begin to plot, they wreak havoc on Kaledaine and help cause the rise of a species of sentient machines known as the Mekanum. The Mekanum have one purpose, to eradicate all life, old adversaries must put aside their differences and unite against this terrifying foe.
