On the Pole by Howard R. Brooks is a high-octane techno-thriller that will keep you gripped from first page to last. Computer forensic investigator Alex Thornton works three jobs to pay off her college loans. Alex has been assigned to go undercover in a multi-national construction company to investigate a terrorist group, suspected of sophisticated attacks on US interests. Already stressed by the possibility her puritanical CEO will fire her on the spot if she discovers Alex dances in strip clubs on weekends, a clever and menacing stalker has discovered her secret. Alex's 24/7 work ethic competes with her newly discovered romantic interest in the president of the construction company. But is he a terrorists or the dupe of his wife's family? Can she use her computer skills to ferret out the cell-or are they already in her midst? Brooks' dazzling characters and white-knuckle situations will have readers guessing at the conclusion until the last stunning page.
