During months of recuperation, Andrea realizes she's pregnant and wants to know what happened to her and why. Torn between deceit and uncertainty, Kurt seeks help with a physiatrist who shows him that he is not his father, but a man who is deeply in love with his wife and unborn child. Knowing that he must tell Andrea that he is her husband, he waits for the right opportunity. When the opportunity happens on a day trip to Sante Fe and they get caught in a snow storm, he knows for certain that Andrea has fallen in love with him. They spend the night making love and during this time, her memory comes back fast and furious.
