In a very short period of time, I lost a best friend and a grandfather. I didn't deal with this very well. I learnt what insomnia was, extreme rage, anguish, numbness and eventually, I learnt the true meaning of cathartic. Of Black Dogs & Peonies is a collection of poems about loss, emotion, trauma, philosophies, personal struggles and life as a woman. Raw, honest and perhaps a little cringey.
