Over the Top With the 25th offers a rare firsthand account of the experiences of Canadian soldiers during World War I. Written by R. Lewis, this chronicle details the events at Vimy Ridge and Courcellette, providing invaluable insight into the daily lives, struggles, and sacrifices of the men in the 25th Battalion. This historical narrative captures the intensity and horror of trench warfare, offering a gripping perspective on pivotal battles.
Lewis's account serves as both a historical document and a testament to the courage and resilience of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Readers interested in military history, particularly the Canadian contribution to the Great War, will find this book a compelling and informative read. The book immortalizes the bravery of these soldiers and preserves their stories for future generations.
