'Theology', in its etymological sense, means 'discourse about God'. Theology is therefore the science that has God as its object. It can be divided into two main branches or fields: dogmatic theology and moral theology. The first part of this booklet deals with dogmatic theology, illustrating the truths of faith and the theological statements most directly related to them; the second part, instead, is devoted to a brief exposition of the fundamentals of Catholic morality. The neophyte will find in these pages a quick introduction to the main contents of Catholic doctrine, the more experienced reader a useful review tool.
