I wrote this book because sometimes I don't know what to do with everything I feel.
So I write about it.
The women I wanted.
The women I couldn't have.
The ones who chose somebody else.
The nights where I wanted somebody close without actually wanting to be close.
The kind of sex that feels good for a few hours and leaves you thinking about something completely different when it's over.
Out My Feelings is me taking all of that and putting it somewhere outside of myself.
Some of these poems are sexual.
Some are bitter.
Some are vulnerable.
Some are just me being honest about the shit I probably wouldn't say out loud.
I talk about lust when I'm supposed to be talking about love.
I talk about sex when what I'm really feeling is loneliness.
I talk about wanting somebody while knowing I probably shouldn't.
And sometimes I don't want to feel anything at all.
This isn't me trying to make my feelings sound beautiful.
It's me getting them out.
