Growing concerns of climate change are increasingly unraveling people's livelihoods and intimately disturbing the familiar rhythms of the natural world. Despite this, the connection between ecosystems and humans constantly creates new habits and traditions. Our Roots explores how we develop with rituals through seasons, memories, wellness, and the natural world. From reflections of Africa's ever-changing landscapes to calls of action about climate justice around the world, the featured pieces emphasize the importance of igniting change and the danger of complacency. The writers and artists share honest reflections on the natural shifts of the world, embracing the repair of our ecosystem by understanding the importance of our landscape.
The IHRAM Press proudly provides a platform for these voices, offering a space for poetry and prose to resonate with reflections of emotion, hope, and the enduring connection to one's identity. The IHRAM Press magazine was created with a simple goal: to celebrate and uplift up-and-coming authors from all over the world; each of the authors in this issue contend with their identities in the context of their environments, providing readers with their unique perspectives on issues of human rights.
