With great respect and dedication, we delve into the world of the invisible, a world unknown but very much alive and latent among us. Here, in these lines, we will see how far a human being can go with blindness, ego, intolerance, and envy, only to later regret it in many cases, often when it is too late, and the consequences are irreparable. Life itself, with its vast knowledge and abundance of resources, presents us with many opportunities, but due to the ego, blindness, and intolerance, we let them pass unnoticed and fail to see where, when, and how we should act.
In these pages, we will encounter a father, obsessed with not being able to find work to support his family, who turns to alcohol, resulting in uncontrollable stress. His blindness and bad temper lead him to irrational behavior, which sets him on a completely misguided path-one that, inevitably and little by little, brings him face to face with one of the most difficult moments any father could ever be prepared for. His young son, only eight years old, tries to show him how wrong he was, but once again, blindness, intolerance, and excessive ego play a central role, leading to a tragedy.
The next story introduces us to a woman who, without realizing it, and again because of intolerance, blindness, and ego, succumbs and perhaps enters a dream, perhaps her own reality, or maybe she crosses the threshold into the invisible. Something that could happen to any one of us, where a magical world opens up before her in an attempt to show her how misguided her life had been. In this tale, there are several characters from both the real world and the invisible world, who subtly try to make her see the truth, but she refuses to accept it, triggering a series of events she never imagined would happen to her.
In this story, all the worlds that surround us are intertwined once again: the one we see, the one we feel, and the other world, the one beyond, the unknown.
In this next, no less extraordinary chapter, the truth emerges clean as a drop of rain. In this tale, we will meet a boy who must endure the painful reality of losing his father-the father he loved with all his heart. The horrors of war took him away, and the adults around him didn't know how to break the news to his young, innocent mind. He blames God for his loss, grows up, and becomes a man, but continues-through the years-mistakenly refusing to admit how wrong he had been. His mother, grandfather, and aunt make every possible effort to help him see the truth, but he rejects it, causing his life to become engulfed in a series of painful events, some real and others from the unknown world. These experiences, with a forceful blow, make him snap out of his ignorance and confront his reality.
These three short stories reflect what could happen to us in real life when we refuse to seek God in any situation we find ourselves in. It is true that love, faith, tolerance, respect, and empathy will always lead us down the right path.
