These discourses on Socialism were delivered by Osho in Hindi in 1970. At that time, Osho was known as Acharya Rajneesh and already had a reputation as an outstanding philosopher and orator. Even though these talks were given more than fifty years ago, they remain relevant today-for India and for the world at large-because socialist ideology still holds a strong influence on the younger generation across the globe.
This book shows how a mystic like Osho, known for his articulate and free-flowing expression when speaking about meditation and spirituality, can also seamlessly move into the realms of logic and rationality to address social issues, government policies, political ideologies, historical processes, scientific research, and even taxation. Osho's insights and reasoning on socialism as a political and economic system have a unique depth and flavor, quite unlike the long-winded dissertations of intellectuals, sociologists, and philosophers.His perspective springs from an understanding of man's inner being and the potential for evolving toward self-realization and enlightenment.
