The Origin And Progress Of The Gwyneddigion Society Of London details the history of this important Welsh cultural society. Founded in London in 1770, the Gwyneddigion Society played a vital role in promoting Welsh language, literature, and music during a period of significant social and cultural change.
This meticulously researched account explores the society's activities, including its literary competitions, musical performances, and patronage of Welsh artists and writers. The book provides valuable insights into the Welsh community in London and its efforts to preserve and celebrate its heritage. Scholars and anyone interested in Welsh history, literature, and cultural societies will find this to be an essential resource.
