ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖଯୋଗ୍ୟ ସାହିତ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚରାଯାଏ । ସେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ସମସ୍ତେ, ଏପରି କି ସ୍ୱୟଂ ଈଶ୍ୱର ମଧ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ବାଧ୍ୟ । ସେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଏକାଧାରରେ ସରଳ ଓ ଜଟିଳ । ଛୋଟ ଛୁଆଟିଏ ମରିଗଲେ ସେ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ସମଗ୍ର ବିଶ୍ୱକୁ କାଠଗଡ଼ାରେ ଠିଆ କରାଇଦିଏ । କୌଣସି ଅହେତୁକ ଶାସ୍ତିରେ କେହି ନିର୍ଯ୍ୟାତିତ ହେଲେ ସେ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ସଚରାଚରଠାରୁ କୈଫିୟତ୍ ତଲବ୍ କରେ । ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ସଭ୍ୟତା ହେଉଛି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିବାର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଏବଂ ଯେଉଁଦିନ ଆଉ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚରାଯାଉନାହିଁ- ସେଦିନ ସଭ୍ୟତାର ପରିସମାପ୍ତି ଘଟିଛି ବୋଲି ଧରିନିଆଯାଇପାରେ । ଯଦି ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିବାର ଐତିହ୍ୟରୁ ନିଜକୁ ଅଲଗା କରି ରଖେ ବା କୋଳାହଳମୟ ପ୍ରଶଂସା ଭିତରେ ନିଜର ସ୍ୱର ଲୀନ ହେବାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଦିଏ, ସେ ଆଉ ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ହୋଇ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ; ହେବ ଏକ ଉଚ୍ଚାଙ୍ଗ ପରମ୍ପରାର ମଡ଼ାଚଣ୍ଡିଆ ।
ଯେତେବେଳେ ଏପରି ପରିସ୍ଥିତି ଉପୁଜେ, ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆଉ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚରାଯାଏ ନାହିଁ ଏବଂ ସବୁଆଡ଼େ ହାଟବଜାରରେ କୋଳାହଳ ଶୁଭେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ଲେଖାଯିବ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସାହିତ୍ୟର ସଭ୍ୟତା ସହିତ ସମ୍ପର୍କ ପ୍ରାୟ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ । ଗଲା କେତେବର୍ଷ ଭିତରେ ପୃଥିବୀର ଛାପାଖାନାମାନଙ୍କରୁ ଯେତେ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ବାହାରିଛି ଇତିହାସରେ ତାର ପଟାନ୍ତର ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଭିତରୁ ଅଧିକାଂଶ ଅଳ୍ପ କେତେଦିନ ପରେ ନିଶ୍ଚିହ୍ନ ହୋଇ ଯାଇଛନ
